If you stay at Kanambo, your hunts, camera hunts and nature walks will all be guided by Dolf Potgieter – our professional hunter and guide. And if he’s not zipping through the veld, hot on the heels of a leopard, you will most likely see him at the braaivleisvuur (the barbecue – for our foreign friends) turning a delicious steak, or behind the bar pouring our guests a nice a tall drink of something cold.

Dolf is our go-to guy for almost everything and our guests absolutely love him. His many years of experience, willingness to get his hands dirty and his dedication to ethical hunting makes him a stellar asset to the business. If you are someone that likes to have their wildlife experiences guided by a person who is native to the area and that knows the animals and their behaviour well, then you’re in the right hands with Dolf. Fourteen years of working as a professional hunter in various parts of Namibia has given Dolf the insights needed to track all kinds of wildlife, and to predict their behaviour.
