Bushveld accommodation at Kanambo’s Tented Camp

Situated on an east-facing outcrop of the Eisenberg, about 11 kilometers (7 miles) from the farmhouse, stands Kanambo’s permanent tented camp. From this even more remote location, our expert hunting guide Dolf Potgieter takes both hunters and other guests further into the veld in pursuit of game. Staying here, you will wake up to the dawn, and every evening sit by a crackling campfire. What makes the experience truly special is the seemingly endless open space around you.

Our tented camp includes:

Accommodation for up to 6 people in 3 tents (each of which sleeps 2)
Portable bar for drinks and refreshments/ Breakfast area
Fire pit/ circle for cooking and socialising
Communal shower (with warm water heated by a portable furnace)
Communal toilet
Two of our tents have double beds and one has two singles, however we are happy to configure the arrangement according to your party’s preference.

A 3G mobile data signal is available at the camp, but no wifi. However we do not regret it - it is part of the experience.

A little tented camp style

When building our tented camp, we didn’t just choose one of the most scenic locations on Kanambo, we also decided to make as much as we could of what he had on the farm. In that spirit, we hope you like our bar made from old milk barrels, and our tractor seat chairs on top of old milk canisters.
